Reinforcement work

  1. Rebar Placement:

    • Workers are placing and adjusting steel reinforcement bars in both directions (main and distribution bars) to form a grid, as per structural drawings and specifications.

    • The grid pattern suggests it is for a slab over deck or beam formwork, likely part of a heavy industrial structure.

  2. Rebar Tying:

    • Using binding wire, workers are tying intersections of the rebars to ensure proper positioning and stability during concrete pouring.

    • This prevents movement of bars and ensures proper spacing, which is critical for the structural integrity of the slab.

  3. Provision for Services:

    • PVC sleeves and pipes are placed within the rebar mat, which appear to be for electrical conduits or plumbing. These are positioned before concrete pouring to avoid later cutting or drilling.

  4. Safety Measures:

    • All workers are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, safety vests, gloves, and safety boots.

    • A safety railing is visible at the edge of the slab to prevent fall hazards.

  5. Formwork Interface:

    • Wooden formwork at the edges suggests preparation for pouring concrete, and possibly for creating a beam or edge thickeni
